Chronic stress, anxiety, burn-out, depression, panic attacks, chronically being unhappy and unsatisfied, old and new traumas, feeling that you lost yourself, not feeling connected, limiting self-believes, negative self-talk of not being enough, chronic pain and illness… most of the time comes about because we can’t relax. Relax in all senses of the word. Relax the body, the never stopping brain, the spirit.

I was all of the above until I had enough. I believe, you can’t think your way out of this. Cognitive work doesn’t work against bad thoughts or mental health issues because you are eventually doing the same thing all over again. You are trying to influence what you simply can not influence.

Instead, next time you get a negative thought, a worry, feel anxious or experience pain shift your focus into your body: breathe slowly and feel your breath, identify where the tension is coming from, let that go with an exhalation and just feel. Can you dissociate back from that negative talk by focussing on and associating with your body? Can you feel the tension? Can you feel your breath?

My re-align method of embodiment is based on neurology, physiology and experience. I help people who don’t feel connected anymore, experience mental or physical health illnesses to feel this connection again by using their own body intelligence. I combine different modalities (breathwork, movement, music, voice), and together we find the best ways for you to relax. Truly relax. And let go of things that don’t serve you anymore. I help people to feel aligned again, be healthy and enjoy their life.

Hi there, my name is Katja Markelova, born and raised in Russia, then moved to Estonia for work and then, in 2019 moved to The Netherlands for love (for love for another beautiful person and most importantly love for myself). Never felt more at home and at ease like I do now.

I believe that we, as human beings, can find the connection to the source and truly enjoy it only when we stand still, become aware of who and how we are and go from living in our heads all the time to our feelings, experiences and intuition. This is only possible when our bodies and our minds are connected and aligned with each other.

Method

The main pillars of my method are (re)alignment and active relaxation or active surrender. During this work you are going away from should’s, constantly thinking, being busy, frustration, feeling empty and exhausted, anxiety … to being able to feel again, feel your body and your emotions, acceptance, letting go, relaxation, freedom, more energy, to being able to experience the life with all of your senses.

As in life, in my method everything starts with the breath. When you are born, the first thing you do is taking a breath in. A breath out is the last thing you do when you leave. Inspiration and expiration magic…

All of our experiences are being stored in our bodies. When your brain, mind, body and breath are aligned with each other, when you really feel the body-mind and mind-body connection, then your whole life becomes aligned. Your energy is flowing, there are no blockages anymore. As a result, your physical, emotional and mental blockages dissolve in an ecological and soft way so your entire life becomes easier, freer and much more enjoyable.

In short, the re-align method is a combination of neurology, physiology and experience of full embodiment. My mission is to reach as many people as possible because life can be so much more, so much easier and so much more enjoyable.

My mission in life is to leave everybody I meet with at least 5% more joy and happiness than I found them, to share my light. When I see smiles on people’s faces and sparkles in their eyes, I feel so much compassion, gratitude and warmth within me. I believe that the highest purpose in life is to be of service.

Why do I do this? Short answer: because I don’t want others to suffer the mental, psychological and physical pains that I did. More elaborate answer:

When you feel trapped in a situation, an emotion or a feeling. When you feel like there is no choice, and you are just responding to whatever comes your way. When you don’t know what is it that YOU want in life. When you’re just very busy every day and that’s it. When you believe that hard work and putting 12 hours a day at your work equals success; the more busy you are and the less sleep you get, the better for your career. When you believe that taking care of yourself is egotistical. When you believe the labels others put on you (like chronic depression, ADHD, asthma, ‘sick for life’). When you underestimate yourself and believe that you are not worthy. When you accept the status quo.

When you have trouble adjusting when things are not going the way you planned. When you’re completely disconnected from your body. When you are not being present in your body. When you care for others more than you care for yourself. When you are in a self-distracting path. When you accept the bullshit rules of others. When you accept everything as a given.

That is a very crappy place to be at. I would know. This is why I made it my life’s work and mission to support you on your way to feeling connected, relaxed and at ease.
